Hand in hand, the students and teachers of El-Menahil raised their voices in prayer for those affected by the disaster, expressing their deep solidarity and hopes that God will spare Taiwan and its people from the perils of this catastrophe. In a show of solidarity with the victims left by the fierce Cyclone Karathon, which recently hit the Philippines and is now heading towards Taiwan, the students and teachers of El-Menahil International School prayed for safety and deliverance from the calamity of the cyclone.
The cyclone, which began in the Pacific Ocean, has reached speeds of over 200 km/h, causing widespread destruction, as well as floods and landslides in many cities and towns. Currently, the cyclone is about 557 km south of Taiwan and continues to gain strength, rivaling the intensity of the recent Cyclone Jaime. It is moving northwest across the Pacific Ocean, accompanied by strong winds and heavy rains, posing a threat to Taiwan in the coming days.
The cyclone has forced the evacuation of numerous marine crews under challenging conditions, and extensive flooding is expected.
