Amidst the joy and celebration of Eid, the children of El-Menahil chose to express their humanitarian solidarity in its most noble form. Upon hearing the news of the devastating earthquake that struck Myanmar, their hearts turned to empathy and support.
More than 500 students, along with 25 teachers and staff members, came to El-Menahil School carrying their piggy banks and personal savings, wishing to donate to those affected by the disaster. The amounts may not have been large, but the message they carried was far more profound: “We are with you, and we feel your pain.”
The children of El-Menahil have themselves experienced the pain of loss and displacement. They understand all too well what it means to lose one’s home and sense of security. From this shared pain, feelings of solidarity and brotherhood were born—beautifully expressed through this heartfelt initiative.
