Master Cheng Yen shows great interest in the Koran copy.
During the yearly meeting of Tzu Chi in Jordan last week, after one member finished his speech in saying two Koranic verses which say “So whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it.
And whoever does an atom’s weight of evil will see it.”
Master Cheng Yen asked Mr. Fayssal Hu, the translator, to explain more about this Koranic verses.
Then she asked him to tell her about the Islamic values and his feelings as a Muslim.
Mr. Fayssal started telling her about Islam for an hour and a half.
When he finished his speech, she asked him to bring her a translation of Holy Koran in Chinese.
The next day, Mr. Fayssal presented Master Cheng Yen an old copy of Alkoran which is more than 500 years old and a translation of Alkoran in Chinese.
Master Cheng Yen was very impressed that she shed tears while receiving the old copy of Al Koran.
Then, she said “Islam should be a true and straight religion otherwise it couldn’t extended and spread to such an extent in the world”
Nowadays, all Tzu Chi members talk about Alkoran and Islam.
They shared the photos of the old copy ofAlkoran in social media.
They also talked about the respect Master Cheng Yen showed towards the Holy Koran.
