Tzu Chi Volunteers on a Mission to Promote Recycling and Environmental Sustainability
A team of Tzu Chi Foundation volunteers visited the Environmental Protection Center in Taiwan to actively participate in recycling initiatives and gain firsthand insight into the critical role these efforts play in safeguarding the environment and achieving sustainability.
At the center, the volunteers engaged in activities that involved sorting and repurposing waste, aiming to reduce environmental pollution and foster awareness about the importance of preserving Earth’s resources.
This initiative aligns closely with the vision of El-Menahil International School, which has embraced recycling as a practical and educational approach. The late Mr. Anas, may he rest in peace, was deeply committed to this cause, training students on how to transform waste materials into practical, reusable tools and maximizing the use of available resources.
The recycling project at El-Menahil draws inspiration from the exemplary efforts of Tzu Chi’s headquarters in Taiwan, a global model in recycling, environmental preservation, and sustainability practices.
