He was only four years old when doctors discovered he had thalassemia.

Because of the many medications he took during the treatment, that led to falling out his teeth completely, so he was no longer able to eat nor chew any food neither a little piece of sugar, though he needed an urgent surgery for dental implants, which was actually done after the child’s father submitted a request to the Tzu Chi Health Office for approval, hence the operation was performed.
Note: (This video was filmed before having the implants, later on the child was in good condition)
